Snow in the USA

Hi, everyone!
January 7, 2012 was a Saturday, the beginning of my first weekend in the USA. The surprise of the day: the first snow of the year in Salt Lake City and the first snow I've seen in the USA. All these small details matter to me - that's why I pay attention to them! ;-)

That day Claire and I went to the Gateway District, which is a large open air complex. It consists of many different entities. The most interesting are the Gateway Mall, the Clark Planetarium, the Megaplex 12 (movie theater), and the Salt Lake Tribune newspaper office. The Energy Solutions Arena is directly across the street. You can see all of those places in the photos, as well as the Olympic Legacy Fountain. :)

Claire and I chose to explore the Gateway Mall that day, leaving other options for later. On our way back Claire and I also went to "Smith's Marketplace". We have been there once before, but in a large superstore like that you always keep finding new things that you haven't seen before... =D

Take care,
D.
